Although not all my reviews are spoilery, which I do not consider this one to be, here is a little warning just in case.

Review Written: 27th May 2012
After six books, Joanne and David are finally getting married. Except after two destroyed wedding dresses
and bridal shops carried out by a group who wants to kill Joanne and take
David, this marriage seems less and less likely.
The story starts with a proposal and ends with a moment of
peace before the storm. The middle part is full of shocks, surprises and fights
like the previous six books. Oh, and Jo almost dies a few times.
David is still as wonderfully sexy as ever, I just love the
way Rachel Caine creates characters. Whether that’s from Morganville Vampires
or Weather Wardens, you like the characters you’re supposed to, and dislike the
one’s you’re not. A sign of good writing. Not only is there David, but we have
Lewis, equally as irresistible and apparently good looking in a suit [page
351]. I love Joanne with David, but I still fully believe Lewis harbours
feelings for her so whenever the two are together, it just breaks my heart! [I
get myself emotionally involved in books...]
This book also sees the return of an old enemy whom I didn’t
want to see make a reappearance, saying
goodbye to some old characters; there is the continuation of old Djinn v.s. new
Djinn and this time, the Wardens influence could prove to be fatal.
I’m assuming this book is a build up to the next
because this book is filled more with strategy than prolonged action – although
this does not make the book any less enjoyable. Some books can be build ups and
be rubbish but it’s not the case here. This book was enjoyed as much as the
previous six and I’m hoping the following 2 will be enjoyed even more so.
